This Hexagram is not a sign of what is to happen because the Hexagrams don’t predict the future. Instead it represents a situation that will occur, often, on every life path.

When conflict does arise, it’s important to have the knowledge on how to handle the situation. It is better to keep inside the urge to argue about the problem, but instead quite ourselves in order to listen to the other person.

Hexagram 6 shows how to deal with types of conflict within ourselves and with friends and family and prepare in overcoming personal issues and help heal wounds quickly.

Conflict is not always between two people, but is found within ourselves. The conscious will always be the biggest critic of our actions. We may never have to explain to others the reasons behind our actions, but we will always have ourselves to answer to. It is important to recognize this type of conflict because it can be the most destructive.

In order to overcome this type of conflict, we must be able deal with the confusion found within the conflict. Finding truth and enlightenment can help remove the conflict and allow the person to move forward.

There will be times when conflict within the family  or with partner cannot be avoided. It is a part of life for there is no happiness without sorrow or joy without sadness. There is a balance to all events. We must face the storm if we are to reap the profits of the harvest.

Accurate IChing Forecasts

Anger can often be destroyed when we are able to gain a different perspective from our loved ones. Compassion is the key to healing the wounds between loved ones. It will close the gaps that are often created when conflict finds its way into the home.

I Ching Hexagram 6 – Career & Business:

The inability to communicate efficiently is the most common conflict we can have with anyone we wish to speak too. If we want to give instructions to co-workers on how a project should be completed, there can be no error in the way we communicate to them. Verbal communication allows for a two way conversation when both parties are present.

When utilizing technological communication, such as email, there is room for misinterpretation when the doors for continued conversation are delayed or even closed. When choosing to communicate, make sure the best possible form is utilized in order to avoid conflict.

CONFLICT. You are sincere
And are being obstructed.
A cautious halt halfway brings good fortune.
Going through to the end brings misfortune.
It furthers one to see the great man.
It does not further one to cross the great water.

Heaven and water go their opposite ways:
The image of CONFLICT.
Thus in all his transactions the superior man
Carefully considers the beginning.

In order to rid our lives of conflict, we must be willing to face our fears. When we become angry and hostile, we are quick to point fingers and assume the reasons behind the problems. Without taking the time to communicate, we lose the ability to understand the truth behind the conflict.

Arguing is not a healthy form of communication and can often lead to a stronger conflict full of pain and agony. There is no weakness in admitting that you were the one to have started the conflict. Being able to admit this to yourself and to your loved ones is a sign of progression and the ability to obtain knowledge in order to prevent the situation from happening again.

Always strive to create balance and peace within the body. Hexagram 6 is a reminder of the pain that is caused from not being able to communicate but shows the caster how to overcome it and move on.
