Olajide Olatunji was born on June 19, 1993, in Watford, Hertfordshire, England. His parents are Yinka and Jide Olatunji. He also has two siblings, also named Yinka and Jide.
Olajide Olatunji dropped out of high school because he began to make more money from playing video games and posting the video games than his teachers did from actually teaching him. At first, his parents didn’t like his decision, but they eventually seemed to get over it when their son began making millions of pounds a year from doing what he loves.
Olajide Olatunji posted his first video on YouTube in 2009. He had begun to notice that YouTubers could make a decent amount of money off their videos, and he wanted to do the same. He thought that he could make a few coins to help him get by. Little did he know when he started that he would soon become famous for his videos and make more than just a little bit of chump change. It is estimated that he is worth millions of USD mostly because of his YouTube channel!
The videos that Olajide Olatunji is most famous for are the videos of him playing the FIFA video games. These games are football (Americans call this game soccer) video games that allow players to play as real-life football players and compete in virtual tournaments within the game. These games are said to be some of Olatunji’s favorites.
Viewers of his YouTube channel tend to think that he is funny because of the way that he reacts while playing video games. Even though he may seem a bit rambunctious while he plays his games, he is said to be a very calm person when he is offline. Fans of his channel like both sides of him-- the passionate, crazy video gamer and the down to earth relatable young adult.
Outside of playing video games on his YouTube channel, he also writes songs and makes his music videos. One of his songs, Touch Down, even appeared in the 2017 movie, Baywatch. For his music videos, he goes by the stage name KSI.
Some of the other videos he makes include comedy sketches on various topics. He does pranks, hangs out with friends, and, plays sports.
Olajide Olatunji doesn't do all of his videos alone. Sometimes other famous people, like Wojciech Szczesny, who professionally plays football (offline) cameo in his videos. Olatunji’s parents often appear in his videos as well.
Television And Film Career
Olajide Olatunji isn’t only on the small screens of computers and phones; he has also acted on television and in movies. In many of the things he acts in, he simply plays himself. However, he has also had two roles in which he did not play himself. In the TV mini-series, 5 Aside, he played the character Matt Clark for five episodes. In 2016, he played a character named Duncan in the film, Laid in America.
For the most part, Olajide Olatunji seems like an average young adult, but that doesn’t mean that he stays out of trouble all of the time. In 2012, he was a part of the Eurogamer event. While he was great at playing the games, he wasn’t so kind to all of the other people at the events. He has been reported to harass some of the women at the event sexually. He was kicked out of the event by doing this. It is currently unknown if he is still sexist or not.
