Popular Feng Shui Fire Colors – Red, Orange And More

Fire Element colors of Feng Shui

Feng Shui works on the principle that if you change your home’s energy, You can change yourself and your life. Colour plays an important part in the energy within a living space, so it’s imperative to create the correct balance of color for the right balance of chi (energy). Various elements in Feng Shui are divided by color.  Fire, water, metal, wood, and earth. Fire colors of Feng Shui cover all shades of red, strong yellow, orange, purple, and pink. And these colors represent creativity, love, power, activity, and passion.

Aspects of Fire Colors in Feng Shui

#1. Growth and Integrity

Traditionally, the fire element should be at its strongest at the south of the Bagua map (otherwise known as the Feng Shui energy map). This area of space with a major life area, helping to create balance.

The south of the Bagua is the ‘fame and reputation’ area and promotes courage, growth, and integrity.

As well as considering the Bagua map, it’s also important to think about which rooms will benefit from fire colors the most. Think about the home; which areas should be charged with energy, and which spaces would benefit from more peaceful chi?

Home offices are ideal environments for the Feng Shui fire colors. The intense energy of oranges and bright yellows brings life creative projects and will inject much-needed inspiration into the room.

Other rooms that benefit from the vibrancy of fire colors include laundry and utility rooms, home gyms, hallways, and garages, as these are all areas that need robust, bright colors and the energy that comes with them.

#2.Vibrant Feng Shui  Fire Colors

Vibrant colors are suitable for kitchens, as they should be happy, energetic spaces. Do bear in mind, though, that there is already plenty of fire in this room (the cooker, for example), so intense reds should be avoided. Instead, choose bright yellows and oranges that promote chi without overloading on passion.

Avoid using fire colors in bedrooms and living rooms. These rooms should be calm, cozy spaces rather than energized ones, as this can promote restlessness and a sense of unease. Red should be avoided in the dining room as this color stimulates everything, including the appetite.

Because they’re so strong, fire colors are best used sparingly. Fire is the most volatile of the elements, and if these colors are used correctly, they will create an invigorating environment. Get the balance wrong, and there will either be a lack of energy, or tempers will flare.

#3. Accessories

Using accessories and dressings in fire tones can be removed during any periods that require more stability or added to combat feelings of loneliness or weakness.

So there are several ways that fire can be introduced without changing the entire design of a room.

A red lamp or orange candles are ways of updating a room, and wooden furniture such as a coffee table will provide the same effect.

All kinds of lighting are considered to sit within the fire element spectrum, including electric lighting, fireplaces, and natural sunlight. This is an easy way to add fire into a room if reds and yellows don’t fit personal tastes.

Artwork that includes people or animals and any materials derived from animals such as fur, leather, or wool are also subtle options for introducing fire (faux materials work just as well as real ones).

For a more dramatic change, painting one or all the room walls will introduce vital energy. So this can provide positivity and strength in a time that requires change. Red is not recommended for large areas, but muted maroon shades or plums can bring energy without overwhelming the space.

#4. Environment

Feng Shui environment will also require aspects of the other four elements to be present. So ensure that the right balance is achieved.

If the wood is a prominent feature of a room (hardwood floors, for example), introduce metal elements such as cream-colored furniture, and highlight with earth and fire elements, such as pottery and candles.

For rooms that feature fire colors heavily, use water elements to dampen the energy. Shades of blue work well, as do curved and flowing shapes. Use highlights of earth and metal to finish the balance of elements.

Also, consider how harmoniously fire colors will sit alongside other furniture and accessories in the home. But Jarring themes will fight for attention, which can be detrimental to the energy of living space.

So with all aspects of Feng Shui, balance is key. So select colors that provide energy to have a positive influence on the environment. And add and remove them where required.

When used correctly with the other elements of Feng Shui. But home will transform into a space that is vibrant with power, passion, and positivity.
