Rise To Fame

Cassidy was still in high school when Shaun Cassidy was signed up to Warner Bros. Records. His first album, Shaun Cassidy, was realized in the mid-1970s.

The album contained the hit Da Doo Ron Ron and established his singing career as a teen-pop idol the United States and Europe. Around the same time, he was cast in the television series The Hardy Boys, and this established his acting career.

Career

Shaun Cassidy released some albums during the 1970s including Born Late (1977), Under Wraps (1978), Room Service (1979), That’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Live and Wasp (1980).

From 1980 onwards Shaun Cassidy focused on his acting career. He appeared in the soap opera General Hospital, in various theatrical productions. After writing his first television show, American Gothic, he became a successful screenwriter and producer. His productions include Roar (1997), Cover Me (2001-2002), Cold Case (2003), Invasion (2005-2006), Ruby & The Rockits (2009), Hysteria (2014), Emerald city (2017) and Redliners (2017).

Shaun Cassidy has been married three times: Ann Pennington (m.1979-div.1993), Susan Diol (m.1995-div.2003) and Tracey Lynne Turner (m. 2004). He has seven children.
