Expanding Influence with Jupiter

Expanding Influence with Jupiter

Many of us struggle with finding our place in this world. It could be argued that figuring out “where we belong” could be our greatest challenge. Everyone has something to contribute. No two of us can do the same thing in the same way. There’s something unique about each of us that makes us special. Expanding influence with Jupiter will help us to bring out our hidden talents and succeed in life with great achievements.

Unfortunately, too often that specialness is hidden from us by our believed sense of failure, by the mundane nature of the world around us, or by familiarity. Yes, familiarity! Sometimes we fail to recognize our gifts simply because we see them staring us back in the face every time we look in the mirror, but other people recognize them.

So, how do you overcome this illusion of familiarity? How do you find the place where you belong? If you are struggling to find your place in this world, try this exercise and see if it helps you gain a new sense of direction.

First, get a copy of your astrological Natal Chart. You can do this at this website. You will need to know your birth date, the location where you were born, and the time that you were born. Yes, the time is important. If you don’t have the time, try to get it. If you can’t get it, give it your best guess. The more accurate you can be, though, the better.

Second, have a journal and a writing instrument handy. You are going to be doing stream-of-consciousness writing for this exercise.

Influence Of Jupiter

Now, before we go too much further, I want you to remember a couple of things here from several of my other articles in this series. First, Thursdays are ruled by Jupiter. Second, the first hour (starting at sunrise) of every day is ruled by the planet that rules the day.

So, that being said, wake up bright and early (at sunrise), on Thursday morning. If you are not a morning person (which for the record, I am not), you can also do this eight planetary (or magickal timing) hours after sunrise if your schedule allows.

Remember the eighth planetary hour after sunrise is also ruled by the day’s ruling planet. There are always ways to work around problems. Sometimes you just have to be creative … or patient.

When you wake up on Thursday morning, gather your tools (your Pre-Natal Chart, your journal, and your writing tool). Locate the placement of Jupiter in your chart. Is it in the first house or the ninth? Do some reading on the internet or in a book on astrology about what that placement means. (Read about Jupiter Symbolism In Signs & Jupiter In Houses).

think

When you get inspired, begin writing about what your life might be like if you followed the path laid out by your research. When you start writing, do not stop for a solid ten minutes. Set a kitchen timer to go off in ten minutes. That way, you don’t have to think about it. You can just lose yourself in your writing.

Jupiter Helps You Think

Here are some topic ideas with which you can start:

  • What would your job be like? Would you even have a job? (Maybe you married someone who was extremely successful and you both agreed that you shouldn’t work. Nice thought, huh?!)
  • What does your home life look like?
  • What things do you do with your day?
  • Where do you shine in your life? How do others think about you? What do they say that indicates that to you?

Those are just some questions to get you thinking. Feel free to answer any of them, all of them, or none of them. You can go off on whatever winding pathways your imagination leads you down.

The important thing is not to censor yourself. You want to allow your chart to guide your imagination in the beginning stages of the exercise and then see where your subconscious takes you.
