What Is Vitiligo?

Vitiligo is the de-pigmentation or loss of color of the skin. It occurs when the skin cells called melanocytes, which are responsible for skin color, die or dysfunction.

#1. Copper Treated Water

Copper is one home remedy that encourages the production of melanin that is produced by melanocytes. Copper improves the state of the melanocytes. Drink copper treated water instead of regular water if you are inflicted with vitiligo.

#2. Turmeric & Mustard Oil

Turmeric is another natural remedy that is antibacterial and anti-inflammatory. Though turmeric is a spice, it is applied to wound to heal them and prevent further infections. Radish seeds are to have a very positive effect on the patients of vitiligo. Radish seeds regenerate melanin through melanocytes. With frequent use, radish seeds restore the color of the skin.

Grind 35 grams of radish seeds. They must be ground to a fine powder. Mix 2 teaspoons of vinegar in the powder to form a paste. Apply the paste on the spots of the skin affected by vitiligo. Leave that paste on your for at least 2 hours.

#5. Almonds & Lemon

Almonds contain Vitamin E. Vitamin E restores the skin to its normal state. Lemon juice exfoliates the skin. It rejuvenates the cells of your skin, as well as melanocytes.

In some ground almonds, mix lemon juice to form a thick paste. Then apply that paste on the affected areas. Leave the paste on the skin for as long as you can.

#6. Basil leaves & Lime Juice

Basil leaves are attributed as anti-aging and antiviral herb. When combined with lime juice, it prompts the production of melanin. It might take time, a few months. However, the result is worth the wait.

Take basil leaves extract and combine it with the juice from 2 to 3 limes. Apply the paste on the skin affected by vitiligo. Repeat this 3 times a day for a few months.
