While this wonderful herb doesn’t fix cramps in the same way that it fixes stomach pains, it can still help! No one likes painful menstrual cramps. While this herb cannot stop your cramps, it is said to be able to lessen the pain that they cause. Do you cough often or have other breathing problems? If so, asafoetida can also help you! This is especially useful if you are having trouble because of a dry cough. Simply mix some asafoetida with honey and ginger and drink or eat it to get relief from your dry cough.

Do you have problems with high blood pressure? Some say that taking asafoetida can actually help to lower blood pressure levels and help to maintain a healthier blood pressure level as well. All you need to do it mix a little of powdered asafoetida with water and drink it when your blood pressure levels are high.

#6. Sore Throat

Just like asafoetida can help to cure a cough, it can also help with sore throat. Often times, sore throats are caused by bacteria, viruses, or dryness. This herb’s properties can help to combat many of these symptoms. To cure a sore throat, take the asafoetida just like you would if you had a cough.

#7. Calluses

This wonderful little herb doesn’t just help with internal problems; it can help you on the outside as well! You can mash up asafoetida and mix it with water. You can also add honey to the mix if you like. Rub this paste-like substance on your calluses in order to soften them. You can do this as often as needed.


#8. Irritable Bowel Syndrome(IBS)

One serious problem that asafoetida can help with is irritable bowel syndrome. The same properties in his herb that help with high blood pressure can also help to reduce and calm the symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome. If you have this illness, then make sure to ask your doctor before you try this home remedy.

#9. Calming Nerves

Lastly, this plant can also help you when you simply need to relax. It works much in the same way as tea does when you need to relax. Mix asafoetida powder with warm water. You can also add honey to this if you like. Drink this when you are feeling stressed or anxious to calm your nerves.
