Beer is an alcoholic beverage which people drink either with certain meals or for relaxation. In a tropical climate people find cold beer very refreshing on a hot afternoon. It has been scientifically established that beer has innumerable health benefits.

Studies have established that people who drink two beers a day had a 25% lesser risk of diabetes.

It is found that moderate beer drinkers have a lower risk of Alzheimer’s disease by 23%. This is attributed to the silicon content in beer. The silicon in beer protects the brain from the harmful effects of aluminum in the body.

Drinking beer in moderate quantities will help to reduce cholesterol levels and also manage hypertension. Beer has a certain type of soluble fiber known as beta glucans  which is responsible for lowering the cholesterol.
