Nostradamus’ Predictions for 2026
Nostradamus was a French astrologer and physician. He lived in the 16th century. He is famous for his predictions of present-day universal events. Nostradamus’ predictions for 2026 include the rise of Adolf Hitler in Germany, the events of September 11, and the COVID-19 pandemic. He is famous for his book Les Prophetes (or the Prophecies), published in 1555. It has 942 verses predicting future events.
26th Verse Forecasts
No actual dates are mentioned in the verses. But his followers claim that the 26th verse refers to the year 2026. Some of his forecasts for 2026 include an asteroid collision with Earth, another outbreak of the ancient plague, natural disasters in Brazil, and the end of the war between Ukraine and the USSR.
Nostradamus lost his children and wife to a contagious disease. This, as well as his addiction to the Old Testament, might have led him to forecast events so pessimistic as to be unlikely in the universe.
2026 Predictions by Nostradamus:
1. “The Great man will be struck down in the day by a thunderbolt”. Probably it refers to a popular figure being struck down by a thunderbolt. This may also refer to the elimination of a popular person or ruler by assassination or a political revolution overthrowing the ruler. This may lead to chaos.
2. “Rivers of Blood” in Switzerland:
Nostradamus warns that the Swiss region of Ticino will “overflow with blood” after a particular event. The verse reads: Because of the favour that the city will show …. the Ticino will overflow with blood”. Ticino is popular for its peaceful lakes and glaciers. This may indicate a war in Europe involving Italy, a neighbouring state.
There was a destructive fire in the early hours of January 1, destroying a bar in the famous ski resort of Crans-Montana in Switzerland, located 167 kms from Ticino. Probably the prophecy refers to this accident, which claimed the lives of dozens of people and resulted in injuries to about 100 people.
3. “Plague of Bees”/Political Ambush
Nostradamus has also predicted that “The great swarm of bees will arise…. by night the ambush…”. Probably, he referred to the leaders of the world attacking the cities. It may also indicate the victory of authoritarian rulers in the year 2026.
4. Seven Months of the Great War
He probably refers to a global conflict in his verse, “Seven months of great war, people dead through evil/Rouen, Evreux the King will not fail”. This may refer to a conflict between two world leaders who refuse to compromise.
5. Naval Conflict
The Quatrain VII: 26 of Nostradamus’ writing reads “Foists and galleys around seven ships, a mortal war will be let loose.” This may indicate a likely naval conflict. The seven ships referred to may be those of China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
