By helping to break down food quickly and easily, papain reduces the build up of stomach gases which cause the ever embarrassing and often uncomfortable flatulence. Eating papaya in it’s fresh raw form is the best home remedy for gas pain, but additionally tea made from papaya leaves has similar digestive properties.

Ginger is a great preventative of gas. Gingerols and shgaols, both found naturally in ginger, relax stomach muscles and reduce swelling, which can cause gas.

Pumpkin, too, is a great preventative of gas. Like ginger, it helps to reduce the amount of gas actually created in the body, therefore decreasing the chances of flatulence. Pumpkin can be cooked in a variety of ways including baking, steaming, or as the main ingredient in a soup.

Cinnamon is one of the best natural remedies and easy remedy for flatulence.
