10 Home Remedies For Prune Lips

#1. Quit Smoking

Smoking can easily make your lips darker with prolonged use. Smoking is a danger to your entire body, not just your lips. No matter why you started smoking, you should quit. Quitting smoking will definitely cure your pruned lips, along with other health problems that you may have. However, if it is just your lips that you are worried about, if you chew tobacco you will want to quit that as well.

#2. Sunscreen

Sunburn, and too much exposure to sunlight can also cause your lips to darken. You can buy chapstick that doubles as sunscreen at any store that also sells sunblock or chapstick. So long as your purchase a chapstick that has SPF 15 or higher, you lips should be protected from further damage.

#3. Almonds

Almonds are a common ingredient in beauty products, which means that they can help. Also, since they are a natural home remedy, there aren’t nasty side effects to deal with. Soak a couple of almonds in some water overnight. In the morning, grind up the almonds and mix them with a tablespoon of milk until it makes a paste. Rub the almond and milk paste on your lips. Keep the paste on your lips for about fifteen minutes. When you are done, rinse off the mix with cool water. Repeat this every morning until your lips are at your desired color.

#4. Lime Juice

Since lime juice is so acidic, it’s great at removing dead skin that may make your lips look darker than they actually are. Lime is also a type of natural bleach. Rub lime juice (you can mix it with some almond oil if you want as well) on your lips. Do this until your lips seem to be getting dry, and then rinse off your lips with cold water. When you are done, put on chapstick. Do this everyday until your pink lips are as light as you want them to be.

#5. Lemons

Like lime juice, lemons are another natural home remedy that can also get rid of dead skin and naturally bleach your dark lips at the same time. To make the lemon work even better, you can sprinkle a little bit of sugar on it. This will help to get more dead skin off of your lips. Rub your lips until they seem dry, rinse will cold water, and then put on chapstick. Do this everyday until your lips lighten.

#6. Tomato

Tomatoes are also full of acid and natural bleach. You don’t even need to add anything to the tomato to make it work wonders on your lips. Simply cut open the tomato and rub the pulp on your lips. Do this for a few minutes, rinse with cold water, and then put on chapstick. Do this every day until your lips seem lighter.

#7. Honey

Honey is a natural home remedy as a lip nourisher. Honey can make your lips look and feel healthier. Rub a little bit of honey on your lips and wear it like chapstick. You don’t even need to rinse it off. If you want to, you can also add almond oil to the honey. You can rather rub your lips and rinse it off rather than wear honey on your mouth all day.

#8. Yogurt

Plain yogurt is one of the best natural remedies that’s great at making your lips look more pink. For even better results, add some lime juice to the yogurt. Apply the yogurt/yogurt and lime mix to your lips. Once it’s on, let it soak in for fifteen minutes. When the time is up you can rinse off your lips with cold water. Do this every day for the best results.

#9. Butter

Using butter can make your lips softer and more pink as well. To get the best results, put the butter on your lips, like you would with chapstick, before you go to bed. This will allow a lot of time for the butter to soak into your lips and to cure them. In the morning you can rinse off the butter. For best results, do this every night.

#10. Olive Oil

Like butter, olive oil can also be applied overnight. Do the exact same thing as you would with butter, but instead use olive oil. Unlike butter, you can also use olive oil during the day as well. Whichever one you pick, this natural home remedy should still work wonderfully.

Hopefully these natural remedies can help you with your prune lips!
