One of the best natural remedies to soothe your gum pain is to use a salt water rinse. Fill a cup with warm water and then add in a tablespoon of salt water. Mix the salt in the water thoroughly and then gargle the water one sip at a time.
Once done gargling, spit out the water and take another sip and do the same; repeat this until your water is gone. Once you are done, you may want to have a glass of salt-free water just to drink.

Chewing on, or sucking on, garlic cloves can also help to reduce tooth ache and gum pain. Cut a garlic clove in half. You can either suck on these half by putting one in either corner of your mouth, or you can chew on one half near the area that hurts. This should be able to numb the pain for a short while.
Like garlic cloves, you can also chew on onion slices to reduce gum pain. Cut off a small part of an onion and chew on it near the area that hurts. This should be able to reduce the pain and swelling of the area if there is any. Do this as often as you need to.
Lastly, you can also use vanilla to numb gum pain. Take a Q-tip and dip it in some vanilla oil and then rub this on your gums. This should help to reduce gum pain almost right away. Do this every few hours as needed.
